(: asked:

I’m going this weekend and this is my first time ever going to a water amusement park, so I’m unsure of what to bring.

I’m going to Six Flags White Water. I was planning on wearing my bikini under my clothes, but what should I wear on top of it?
Should I wear my bikini bottoms or just underwear (w/ shorts of course)?
Flip flops or converses/sneakers?
What else?

Thanks so much!

Hard Water Spots – Top Tips on How to Remove Them From Windows!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: Few Minutes, Household, Limescale — @ 12:13 pm May 25, 2008

Hard Water Expert asked:

After cleaning windows with tap water it can leave hard water spots or stains on the glass which we all know do not look particularly appealing! This is likely to come from the tap water that has been used containing dissolved calcium or magnesium minerals that have been left on the surface of the glass once the water has dried. This is a common problem and is easily solved.

Knowing that these minerals were present in the water initially, and that they can be removed using an acid, is the first step to getting rid of them. Secondly, it’s a matter of knowing how to get hold of an acid that is readily available. Well, the chances are you have the solution in your cupboard at home right now. Vinegar is a great household cleaner and has been used for centuries to clean a variety of things, and can be used to easily get rid of hard water stains and limescale.

Below is a tried and tested method that has been used time and again to get rid of stubborn hard water spots and stains from windows and has been proven to work.

Natural Formula to Use: ½ liter white vinegar and ¼ liter of water

Method to Use:

1. Fill a clean spray bottle with pure vinegar

2. Spray the vinegar/water solution over the window and wait for a few minutes

3. If stains are stubborn spray more solution and wait a while longer

4. Scrub lightly with a soft sponge or cloth and rinse

Tip: – Try to deal with the water spots straight away as the solution works best with newly formed or mild hard water spots.

Spilled water on white MacBook! What do I do?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: Keyboard, Spill, Spilled Water — @ 4:20 pm May 22, 2008
Aaron A asked:

I have had a white MacBook for a year and a half, and I treat it very well. It is always on my desk, its never leaves the house, and I clean it with eye glass clothes obsessively. My luck, today I accidentally knocked a water bottle over and about a quarter of it poured onto the far right side of my keyboard. I quickly dried it, and everything seemed fine. Then, my speakers weren’t working. I read that I had to jiggle the headphone jack which I did, and the speakers were then functional. However, moments later when I thought everything was going to be ok, black lines streaked down the screen and everything was freaking out. I quickly shut down the computer, and when I re-booted, the lines returned. I shut down and rebooted a few more times, until the screen was just black and a horrible “evacuation” beeping sound began. It sounded like an alarm system that was triggered, and it really flipped me out. I shut it down, and left my house. It turns out I was leaving for the airport for a 3 week bussiness trip, and I had to leave it as it is. I told my wife however to blow dry the keyboard, and to leave it open. I also just told her to remove the battery and unplug it after reading on various sites that that is recommended. However, the battery was removed several hours after the spill. With the black streaks, the sound, and the overall state of the laptop, is there any hope the machine will come back from this vegetative state? Its a shame I am not home to monitor it- its kill me, but I am really praying it isn’t a total loss. I just spoke to my wife, who told me before she took the battery out she tried booting it up. The apple logo appeared, and so did the blue screen, however the black streaks returned. This was hours after the spill. Does this progress mean anything? Please, someone help me understand what is going on (or what will happen) to my laptop.
